Their last engagement is tonight, at Lake Ammersee in Alte Brauerei, Germany. The picturesque venue is a short walk to the romantic nearby lake. Again, Iris has the details:
9-12: Dan joins several (maybe "many") longtime friends when he returns to the Breda Jazz Festival in the Netherlands.
he will be part of an international "all-star" band performing two sets each of the four days of the event.
The Breda Festival is a sentimental favcorite of Dan's for it was to perform at this festival (and a subsequent tour of Germany) that Dan made his first trip to Europe, when he was twenty-one years old.
Many of his friends from those early days in Breda have gone to the Great Jam Session in the Sky, but enough are still around for a warm, swinging musical and personal reunion.

JULY 30 - AUGUST 9: Dan returns to the Pacific Northwest--specifically Eugene, Oregon--to once again perform at The John G. Shedd Institute for the Performing Arts (a.k.a."The Shedd") . The occasion is the Oregon Festival of Music ("OFAM").
The virtuoso jazz vibraphonist Chuck Redd is the Musical Director for this two-week event, produced by Jim Ralph.
OFAM presents big bands and small jazz combos, but that isn't all. The world-class musicians (personally selected by Chuck and Jim) are joined by terrific singers and dancers, all of whom present the greatest songs by great American composers. 9 - 21: Dan returns to Spain, to perform all over that beautiful country with his good friend, Enric Peidro and Enric's terrific little swing band. Enric is one of Dan's favorite tenor saxophonists. When they play together, they sound like "brothers from another mother!"
