12 - 22: Dan returns to the Pacific Northwest--specifically Eugene, Oregon--to once again perform at The John G. Shedd Institute for the Performing Arts (a.k.a."The Shedd") . The occasion is the Oregon Festival of Music ("OFAM").
The virtuoso jazz vibraphonist Chuck Redd (recently featured on CNN) is the Musical Director for this two-week event, produced by Jim Ralph.
OFAM presents big bands and small jazz combos, but that isn't all. The world-class musicians (personally selected by Chuck and Jim) are joined by terrific singers and dancers, all of whom present the greatest songs by great American composers. At OFAM, each evening is a glowing tribute to producer Jim Ralph's lifetime love affair with the Great American Songbook.

3 - 7: Hot Jazz Jubilee
This swinging event takes place at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento, CA.
It brings together bands and soloists from around the USA and beyond for an exciting four days of fun. (Thursday is an unofficial "pre-heat").
15 -22: Dan will be the trombonist in a truly great international "all-star" band, assembled by the German pianist/alto saxophonist (and friend) Chris Hopkins. The occasion is a jazz cruise on the Rhine, Main, and Danube Rivers, out of Cologne (Köln), Germany.

OCTOBER 2026
1 - 4: Dan will return for his fourth appearance at the Redwood Coast Music Festival in rustic Eureka, California. This great festival features a variety of music, from New Orleans-styled jazz to the 1930s "swing" style, to Western Swing, boogie-woogie, rockabilly, and rhythm and blues. Producer Mark Jansen knows who to call, and gets the best. Furthermore, his understanding of how to organize the event has made it one of the smoothest-running festivals anywhere on earth!
The venues are "all over town," but Eureka is a small town, and there are many very convenient shuttles to and from the participating hotels. In addition to being a guest with friends' bands, Dan is excited to once again lead his "Old-Fashioned Jazz Band," and maybe lead a set with the band he calls the "Full Moon Orchestra." 22 - 25: Roswell Jazz Festival, Roswell, New Mexico
Please consider attending this unique jazz event in the charming town of Roswell. Somehow, jazz, and flying saucers, and extra-terrestrials all seem to be a good fit. You'll have a great time!

19 - 21: The SAN DIEGO JAZZ PARTY!
Dan has been a part of his venerable jazz party for many years. He is proud to have been acknowledged as the SDJP's "Legend of Jazz" in 2020.
The party has migrated to the Marriott Hotel in Mission Bay, so it is now even closer to the San Diego Airport. The line-up is a "Who's Who" of twenty (or so) of the finest jazz musicians performing in the "swinging" jazz style. Dancers are welcome. A highlight of the party is always Dan's big band, which he calls "The Stock Market."

MARCH 2027
5 - 7: Dan returns to beautiful Monterey, CA for the "Jazz Bash by the Bay."
He'll perform with like-minded players in impromptu sets, but will also lead his new band, Dan Barrett's Old-Fashioned Jazz Band. The OFJB features Dan's life-long friend Bryan Shaw on trumpet (formerly with the High Sierra and South Frisco Jazz Bands), and Dan's talented son Andrew at the piano.
APRIL 2027
12 -15: The "Hotel Ascona Swing Festival" in breathtakingly- beautiful Ascona, Switzerland in 2027! (The festival runs the entire week). The Hotel Ascona is on a hill overlooking Ascona, with a terrific view of Lake Maggiore and the Swiss-Italian Alps. You have to see the place to believe it. (The gelato is exceptional, as well...)

30: Dan returns to Bülach, Switzerland (next door to Zürich) for an evening with his old friend, Scott Hamilton and Rossano Sportiello. Dan is always honored to share the stage with both of these jazz Maestros.

6 - 9: Dan returns to the Netherlands for the Breda Jazz Festival. He'll celebrate his 50th Anniversary of performing in Breda. (Dan's first time in Breda--which was also his first time in Europe--was as a very young man in 1977!)
